Elon Musk has tweeted that US orders for new Tesla cars can now be secured with the equivalent of a $100 deposit in Bitcoin, with other countries following soon. Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currencies.

BIP151 specifies encrypted communication between Bitcoin peers, reducing the risks of mass surveillance and blockchain analysis. The proposal uses a ChaCha20-Poly1305 Cipher Suite. Both peers only send encrypted messages after a successful ECDH negotiation in both directions.

Dr Craig Wright has revealed to three media organisations (GQ, BBC, Economist) that he is Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. He demonstrated control of the same cryptographic keys that were used to send 10 bitcoins to Hal Finney as the first bitcoin transaction. However he does not want to become a figurehead for Bitcoin and said “I want to work, I want to keep doing what I want to do. I don't want money. I don't want fame. I don't want adoration. I just want to be left alone.”
